But more important than my physical death was remembering that verse.

I’m not sure if this was a dream or if it was a vision. Yes, even good Presbyterians can have visions.

Last night I woke up. And God put the Bible before me. There were some Scriptures talking about legalism and about Pharisees. I was reading it and realizing that it was speaking to my heart. This verse was meant for me and it was important to remember. So I was trying to remember it.

But then a demon appeared. I couldn’t see him. But I could feel his dark presence. He grabbed the back of my head and shoved it down onto the bed, face first, and held me there. I couldn’t read the Scripture anymore. I was losing it. And I couldn’t move. I couldn’t breathe.

I was panicking. I kept trying to lift my head, but it was so heavy. The demon had me held there and I couldn’t breathe. I was going to die. But more important than my physical death was remembering that verse. I needed to remember the verse. The verse was more important than my physical health.

And then it dawned on me. PRAY! So I prayed and asked God to release me. I fought the demon off with God’s help. And I was finally able to breathe. I lay there trying desperately to remember that verse.

Now, this morning, I can’t remember the verse exactly. But I remember the point.
